John and his 8-man crew came out and dropped 24 trees that were too close to my house in about 6 hours of really great work. They showed up at exactly 8:00 AM as I was told by Renee the night before. Renee was very helpful and responsive from the first call, which is more than I can say for about 8-10 other well reviewed tree services in the area. I got several quotes. John’s was not only the best price but he also showed up to quote the job first and answered every phone call from the start as we worked out the schedule with the stormy weather. They were organized and methodical. I watched every minute of the process and I remained impressed from start to finish. He set up his giant crane on my property in 2 locations, one of which he had the crew build a plywood road across my yard to spread the load out to avoid any impact to underground utilities. His climber and climber helpers are the best I’ve ever seen. For most trees, John put the climber in the tree with a crane, and from there they roped the tree down piece by piece from the top. The back yard had some big oak trees that couldn’t be reached by the crane, so they were climbed and dropped the old fashioned way. I expected to feel nervous watching them as all of the trees were within fall-on-the-house distance, but these guys were so pro and their serious yet relaxed attitude kept my mind at ease all day. Two of my neighbors on my street walked up and booked him while they were working in my yard. John told me he’s been at this for 30 years. It was evident.
