Anthony's passion for art and jewelry began in his teenage years when he came across an antique jewelry catalog. He would spend hours exploring designs from the catalog, thinking how he could integrate his own ideas into each piece. It was no surprise when he decided to move to New York to pursue his dream right out of highschool. He started his apprentice under his uncle who was one of the best master jewelers of his time back in the Ukraine. His uncle designed and made jewelry for the most influential people and governmental officials. In 1983 Anthony opened his first jewelry store in Trenton, New Jersey and within a short time became a jeweler to see for vintage and custom design jewelry. He caught the attention of a lot of up and coming Rap artists such as Jay Z, Free Way, 3 K’s, and many more. In 2009 he opened Lawrence Anthony Fine Jewelers with his son Arthur. Arthur graduated in 2008 from the Gemology Institute of America. He will sit down with you one on one and discuss your needs in regards to the quality of your diamonds and colored gems.
