For over 75 years Brown’s Chicken has tempted the taste buds of generations of Chicagoans. From humble beginnings in 1949 when John and Belva Brown opened their first location in a trailer at 80th and Harlem in Bridgeview, the company’s pursuit of chicken that truly tastes better continues in a new era. With over 21 stores in the Chicagoland market, Brown’s Chicken boasts a style of chicken all our own. The recipe cooked up by John and Belva uses buttermilk batter with cottonseed oil, delivering a delicious golden crunch on the outside with a moist and flavorful inside. Great chicken and mushrooms. YUM. Glad to have a Browns Chicken close by. I ordered Mr. Browns special, another 1/2# of mushroom's and 6 more pieces of chicken. All were great.

From out of town, visiting family and needed to get some food for the group. Brown's was requested so off i went to get food for about 5 of us. Aside from the business being dated and in need of a renovation, I can tell you that the service was excellent. The group of us found the following items to be great: hot perfectly cooked onion rings and french fries , a very tasty Italian beef, friend chicken, chicken tenders (with a variety of tasty sauces), piping hot baked beans, mashed potatoes & gravy, fresh cole slaw, really good rib tips over fries and some delicious corn fritters. There have been comments about the cleanliness of the kitchen. I didn't see any of that. The two gentlemen who were working had the place clean and made us a great meal.

Great customer service! I worked at a Browns when I was a kid and I know that food service can be difficult but everyone that works here is nice and fast. Good food! I love the new cheese curds!

Had a catering order of 100 fried and 30 grilled chicken and I was SO impressed! From the ease of ordering to the on tine readiness, it was hot, made perfectly, and delicious!! Our guests all asked where it was from and raved about the taste! We highly recommend it for your next party.
