About The Patio

It all began in 1977 when owner, John Koliopoulos, purchased a small piece of land in Bridgeview, IL with one thing in mind: to build a restaurant that serves quality food and delicious barbecue baby back ribs! In need of a name for the restaurant, John thought hard as he stared at his new establishment situated between two apartment buildings. “That’s it,” he thought – a Patio for the apartment buildings where people can enjoy great barbecue and relax!” Thus, the concept and the perfect name, “The Patio” was born! We take great pride in using only the finest quality ingredients freshly-prepared the old-fashioned way. We never cut corners! Our famous Barbecue Ribs and Rotisserie Chicken are always cooked fresh throughout the day, and our signature smoked meats – sliced Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Pulled Turkey – are seasoned and slow-cooked for hours. We make our own soups from scratch daily and we even grind and patty our own hamburgers. The way we do things may require extra effort, but we believe you can really taste the difference! WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT US

Large spot serving up a wide assortment of food options. You order at a counter and they bring the food to your table. Huge selection including BBQ sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, salads, burgers dogs and beef, fried fish, and tons of different sides. Cole slaw is especially delicious. Large interior has plenty of seating and can easily accommodate big groups. Big windows and high ceilings make a nice environment.

The ribs are always fantastic! I found the mac and cheese mushy and overcooked. We also ordered cake. They used to cut it as you order but it was presliced and it was quite dry. The kids loved it though. The manager took our order, checked in on us halfway through our meal and when I went to ask a bag he asked how everything was. I told him about the mac and cheese and cake and he thanked me genuinely for my feedback. He said the only way we can get better is if people tell us. I will say though, the ribs, onion rings and fries were outstanding! Even though it was not a perfect experience, the manager made it delightful by caring and listening. Will definitely be back.

We had a great experience at The Patio. I enjoyed the Summer Berry Salad with Poppy seed dressing. It was amazing! My husband had 1/2 slab of ribs with a baked potato. He said they were really delicious. We definitely will go back!
